Finally down to his preferred temperature of below freezing. He’s feeling frisky today, not bad for a 9 year old doggie.

My neighbor growing up had huskies. They would often sleep outside during snow storms - nobody was getting them to go back inside.

I can confirm that whippets are not at their best in very cold weather and snow like that. They much prefer to lounge around in the house all day during the cold months. Sadly I don’t have any good pictures to show you as I haven’t seen good ol’ Turkey the whippet in two months or so.

We have tried, the best he does is while nordic skiing on a leash, he will pull pretty well. He refuses to pull a sled.

Normal huskies anyway. My last Malamute, Lance, was also normal. Here he’s c ooling his belly on the snow with his husky/lab buddy , Molly. I think it was around 15 degrees.

My current Malamute, Rin, doesn’t like snow. We’re approaching the time of year when I’ll open the door in the morning, she’ll take a look first, and turn around if it’s snowed overnight.

We’re hoping Target sells dog pajamas again this year. We were shocked that they sold a set that fit a greyhound.

Cornbread will need a set if they do.

Ah yes dog pajamas for thin boi hours. Turkey appreciates a good warm jacket.

Ruby has pretty much a full wardrobe. Thankfully most of it should fit Cornbread too. My mother in law made a sweater, several hats, and a pair of fleece pajamas for her. The pajamas are almost too warm to wear though.
